Dark and lustrous crimson. Smells somehow of iron and dark chocolate. Convincing, if pretty alcoholic, though the acid balance is good. Very sensual and caressing texture. Sweet and polished. Hint of the famous crushed ants of Penfolds Grange fame! Red peppercorns too. Very well done. A really unusual wine
